The couplings of the pipes are produced in the Coupling Production Unit that is composed of Coupling Winding Units, Feeding System and the Coupling Grinder.
The
couplings produced are wound on coupling moulds which are first covered
with special designed EPDM gaskets. As the all inner surface of the
coupling is completely coated with EPDM, this ensures perfect tightness of
the coupling even at high pressures.
The roving from the resin applicator is fed to the mould from the Coupling Winding System that can serve up to five Coupling Winding Stations.
After
removed from the mould, the finished coupling is grinded at the Coupling
Grinding Machine before it is transferred to the Coupling Installation
Unit or to the stockyard.
